Benjamin Luke was raised in Avoyelles Parish in Bunkie and Marksville. He graduated from Marksville High School and then attended Louisiana State University, where he received his B.A. in Political Science with a focus in American Government. Ben is a graduate of Tulane University Law School where he served on the Honor Board and a member of the Student Government Association Committee. After law school, he served as a staff attorney with the Louisiana Third Circuit Court of Appeals in Lake Charles, LA. Then, while his wife Celeste Luke was performing her Ophthalmology Residency for 3 years in Jackson, MS, Ben practiced with a defense firm in the areas of commercial and real estate transactions and litigation, estate and employment law, creditor’s rights and banking law. Afterwards, they returned back home to Avoyelles Parish where Ben was a Member/Manager of Roy and Roy Attorney’s in Marksville and served as Vice President and General Counsel of The Cottonport Bank for 9 years.
Since 2007, Ben Luke has been the sole Member/Manager of Ben Luke Law and Ben Luke Abstract & Title Co. His areas of practice are: Wills, Trusts, Estate Planning, Successions, Real Estate, and Business Law. Ben is a licensed Attorney in LA & MS, Member 2020-January 31, 2023 of the American Academy of Estate Planning Attorneys, licensed Title insurance Agent. He has offices in Marksville, Alexandria, Lake Charles, Lafayette and Natchitoches, Louisiana.
He is currently serving as:
Louisiana Association of Independent Land Title Agents, Past President and Board of Directors (2011-present): an organization providing safeguards against the eroding nature of title examinations and underwriting standards, and to help keep title insurance claims in check.
LSU of Alexandria Foundation, Board of Directors (2015-present):helps build the university’s endowment and to ensure the continued availability of undergraduate, college-level education opportunities for CENLA citizens.
Louisiana Trust for Historic Preservation, Board Member (2015-present):advocates, promotes and preserves historic places representing Louisiana’s diverse culture.
Ben lives in Marksville, LA with his wife, Celeste Luke, and they have three children: Ascher, Hynson, and Anna Kate. During his free time Ben enjoys running, hunting, and is always looking for a reason to host a Cochon de Lait or crawfish boil with his friends and family.
